We are excited to be studying the Book of Psalms in 2025/2026!

Join us in September as we celebrate the 50th year of CBS with the entire world wide community studying the book of Psalms!

Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our class meets weekly during the school year. Class members receive a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.

Currently Studying: Matthew

Course offererings for 2024-2025:

Matthew wrote by the power of the Holy Spirit, primarily to his fellow Jews, proving through Scripture that Jesus’s life and ministry fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah. In studying this Gospel, you can clearly hear Matthew’s message: Jesus is indeed the long-awaited Jewish Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Immanuel, God with us!

Coming in September 2025: Psalms

The book of Psalms has served as the hymnbook and prayerbook of God’s people from ancient times and on into the present. Known as the Psalter, this collection of Holy Spirit-inspired poetry captures the highs and lows of life. The Psalms are powerful prayers, guiding us into honest communication with God. They validate our doubts, passions, fears, and longings and show us how to draw near to God in our struggles. This Bible study organizes the Psalms thematically, making it easier to grasp their main ideas and apply them to your own conversations with God.

Next Gen Ministry

Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, worship, games, and other activities, we seek to provide a welcoming and engaging environment where the next generations can learn about Jesus. Starting this year, Middletown-Eve class will be offering children ages 3-6 years, a class where our curriculum will be aligned with our adult class so that parents and their children may study Matthew together, enabling parents additional opportunities to assist their children in living out God’s truths in their lives.
